Description
I took a long time to finish this, and this is way longer than the last two tutorials. I'm not sure how much this will help, but I hope it does! I included as many basic dragon types as I could think of, really to provide a reference to different sets of limbs, not specific dragons in mythology.Related content

can you do a tutorial on dragons who have their wings and hands together?

Shouldn't be a problem! It might take a few days, I'm a bit busy at the moment.

Yayz! also, there is a dragon I made up with perfectley round head and beak mouth cause it eats seeds and hard plants rather than meet.

That should work, as long as its not a literal circle. Think of finches and parrots, which have very strong beaks. The overall shape should be roughly like an egg to be more natural.

I mean it has a circle head and the mouth is like a parot's beak(Think of the scarlet macaws.) with teeth inside.

thanks for the detail - is saving to tut. list!
nice, concise and to the point on exactly what is needed - Thank you very much esp. the movement tips!
one point of contention though - i believe there are some references that would state that salamandars are the predecessors of the european dragon (if you follow the evolution theory). hence the 2 wings and four legs
especially those stories concerned with the summoning of the fire elementals of with the salamandar is a low level fire element and the true dragon/great dragon aka lava /magma elemental is the highest (is remembering Mercedes lackey elemental masters series)
again, not trying to be picky but don't know if you wanted the info
(also since imaginations = skys the limit, there's no garantee that what i said actually means anything lolz)

Very true statement! I think the theory here is that the salamander and classical dragon came from a common ancestor, and the salamander didn't change much down the line. I can't think of any real-world examples at the moment, but it has probably happened.
And thank you for the lovely comment!

oh good - i wasn't sure if it would be taken the wrong way (aka telling someone what they already know etc - some people get really touchy about it)
[lolz - sometimes i'm one of them )

I don't have a problem with people pointing stuff out. Its not easy to tell what a person does or does not know, so unless they're rude about it, I'm happy to hear what they have to say!

i'm just glad i didn't put it over in a rude manner.
i think i did something similar ages ago and got scolded for it since my net manner is very abrupt and frank - and it doesn't help when i have social skills = 0
lolz
as i said very glad my grammer hasn't been completely killed for usage in today's world
hopefully with the tut. to help with inspiration i can try getting back into drawing in general and dragons in particular

In the old art, definately. I'm just trying to make the classic a little more air-worthy. More bulk in the chest and over the ribs is probably more realisitc, but I digress.
And thank you~
