*edit* Uploaded a cleaner versionI kind of just started tinkering around with my coloured pencils and came up with this...Perhaps I'll keep going and see what I come up with...

What comes to mind first would be jealousy. The green eye'd monster. A beautiful woman overcome by paranoia that she is losing her other to someone else, but it isn't the angry kind of jealousy, It's the sad. She looks as though she is too intelligent to let herself get angry, but not angry enough to keep herself from being sad.
Beautiful colours, aand great shading. Very nice work indeed.

For some strange reason this picture made me think of Echo of the Greek mythology. You might have captured her eyes. Her sadness over not being able to speak her mind, always repeating what people say, and then having to fall in love with Narcissis and not being able to talk to him freely because of the curse.
It's a lovely piece and I would love to see what you would do with it.

Well when I see this, I kinda see developement (for example in the colors hence the eye and iris, and the shadows) if you follow

I use prismacolour pencils. I just bought the 120 set so i've been experimenting like crazy lately! Add me to devwatch and in a couple of weeks (hopefully sooner!) you'll really like what i've been working on if you like this one - colours everywhere!!!

I shouldn't have read the comments, I kinda am agreeing entirely with *Taiia points about this one. Besides her points, I like the way that little drop of color seems to be trailing down the image. Very nice, surreal work. You really know how to draw eyes.
