*edit* Uploaded a cleaner versionI kind of just started tinkering around with my coloured pencils and came up with this...Perhaps I'll keep going and see what I come up with...

Wow, even before reading all the comments, I thought it reminded me of a peacock. I just love peacocks!! I have a couple in my gallery & scraps. They're just so pretty. I think you should try this design with makeup.

I agree, peacocks are sooo pretty, and they know it too. They have this essence about them that just screams pride. I didn't see any peacocks in your scraps folder, in fact theres nothing there!

Wow- I never knew that such detail could come out of colored pencils (then again, I do not really use colored pencils all that often). Very beautiful. I love the colors and the detail!!

Thank you! I haden't worked with colored pencils that much, but I had seen some amazing color pencil work by Howard Johnson. [link] I will promise you wont believe those are drawings and not photographs! He is so amazing that he inspired me to go buy 120 pencil set!

That's funny you should say that, when I first made it that's what came to mind, like the petal off of a flower, unfortunately i drew it too close to the edge of the paper so I could not make the other petals...however I do have something in mind for a future piece, thank you for your comment

An adorable clear work: a little abstract, perfectly done technically (right shading, very realistic vision of pupil and iris owing to great light effect), neatly chosen colour tones. Very moody - it reminds me humming-bird's or peafowl's shiny feathers.
