"Have you ever felt like someone is controlling every part of your life... even from the afterlife?"

When Helios was younger he was sold off as a piece of his unstable fathers legacy. Because of this he was spared the cruelty of his fathers wrath that his sister Selene was subject to for her younger years. However, being sold into a crime families possession held it's own challenges for Helios. At first he got everything. It was all provided for him, luxury and comfort that he could only have imagined before. He didn't care that he was in a porcelain cage. Never allowed to leave his new home. In those first few days he was truly happy. But, that changed when he finally realized what his purpose truly was and just what that entailed. He was introduced to his 'trainer', a cruel old female caracal that taught him every cruel and backhanded trick he knows today. First she broke him, his previously kind spirit and rationality destroyed with attacks on his worth and guilt over what he would be doing to willingly have this wealth. It wasn't hard to break him down, destroy the self he had been. He was only a child after all. She whispered to him constantly. Brainwashing him to act as he should and locking him up in the dark for days on end by himself till he got it right. Forced him to constantly repeat the words she whispered to him every hour of the day, while he sat staring at the blank walls. It had felt like years to him, but in reality had only been a week. She had successfully broken him down and so she walked around their home with her new successor in tow. And so, Helios grew up in the twisted bloody world of that household. Hearing the screams of innocents as his master had his fun with them. The underhanded deals that went on in front of his eyes. The old caracal died not to long after his first birthday. Not that he even knew his birthday. But after she was gone he was free to remember things. To acknowledge the things he had managed to hold onto through her abuse. His family being the only thing. Of course during those twisted months the view of his family was misshapen by his hopes for escape and comfort. His fathers abuse and his mothers indifference forgotten and the broken look on his sisters face when he was taken away and she was left with their father alone replaced with a smile as he went. He rose to the top of the bunch after his trainers death. His twisted and damaged mind seeking to take comfort in anything while he watched the horrors around him daily. Taking to having at least someone in his bed every night and a party as loud and lavish as he possibly could as often as he could to drown out her whispers that still rang in his ears through out the day.

To this day Helios still hears her whispers when he is forced to hide what his master does for wealth. When he earns his keep and the privilege of having his lavish homes and bright jewels. Her will never miss her. She is a vision of cruelty in his mind. The catalyst of everything wrong with him. The one who makes him hate himself with such a fiery passion. She may be dead but she still dictates every move he makes from the afterlife. Controlling him from the dead with simply the ideas and instructions she implanted in his mind.
