The paw print, from what I can gather is a just unlucky birth mark. However ever each member has a lion, um well tattoo I guess, that is hidden from view until the guard is needed. Neither is that bad, and by the way just because a show is aimed at today's toddlers doesn't mean you can't watch it for curiosity sake. I admit I find the honey badger annoying but his motto is awesome.

Finished watching it, and it really doesn't make any sense...
It disregards the lion king 2, and really all the characters are painfully annoying..
This show is really meant for preschoolers anyway, and I don't think its canon : /

I've watched it too. It's just bizarre.
I had the idea of a sort of lion guard in my story but even if I would, I'd be unable to include it. I don't know where Kion is in SP and I already have to deal with the disappearance of Kopa. Unless they are only one same lion.
Still, I liked the "movie". I mean, in a "I'll try to forget the flash animation, horrible proportions, and many incoherences"way.

welp..they kinda did.. it has been confirmed that kiara traveled back in time and became a cub when kion was born..so that means this makes tlk2 completely useless. basically means that the war never happened, zira is still alive, and kovu? eh we may never see him..but im still going to watch to see how this all plays out

Kopa wasn't canon. The people behind the first movie, DisneyΒ and even the people who created Kopa and the books themselves said that he wasn't part of theΒ canon TLK universe.

I'm...not sold on this guy either.Β He's not bad, but I do hope they don't go usurping Kiara with him...since in royalty, usually a male heir tends to trump even an older female heir, but...there's some ambiguity as to whether or not this would be the case in TLK.Β I hope not in this case.Β I'm assuming the paw print is just cubbie-spots...like the ones on his legs...and would probably fade as he grew, but the pink stripes in his mane...those are just silly.

Kind of depends on how old fashioned they're planning to be. In Norway the crown Prince has an older sister who did not inherit, but he too has a son and a daughter, the daughter is considered his heir because the laws changed in the meantime.
The article did call Kiara the next queen though. If they let Kion take over just because he's male Disney would get a bunch of hate from feminists fighting for equal rights.

It's animal kingdom, for god's sake. Can people think before talk? If Kiara it's the future queen, then Kovu will rule over Pridelands. Why? Because they are lions, Kovu's tasks will be fight against rovers and protect pride's member for external threats, Kiara's will be provide food for the pride.
As in Audrey's comic, Uru is Mohatu's heir, but Ahadi, her mate, is the one in charge, why? That's how a real pride works. And if that's offensive, feminists please go to the nearest zoo and express your complaims with the lions. I'm sure they will take them in count.

If you're gonna put it that way realistically Kion wouldn't be allowed to stay in the pride at all. He would have been chased away by his dad as soon as he reached maturity, and Kovu? Nope. He's gonna get chased of too, because the dominant male lion doesn't want any competition for the ladies.
I'm not offended by the fact that Ahadi and Kovu would be in charge. But the kids inheriting the throne is very much a human tradition. Lion tradition states that Simba would only remain king until a stronger lion chases him away. If Kion is still around at that point he would be killed. That's the Animal Kingdom. Maybe you can think before you start getting angry at me? -.-

I am not trying to argue. As a person who lives under an actual monarchy I just wanted to point out that yes, girls can in fact inherit over boys, which Disney has already confirmed so there is no argument to be had here.
Kiara is still future queen because TLK is not a documentary about real lions.

TKL is not a documentary, but as a series set in the wild is important to respect true facts. We aren't talking about humans, but lions with humans aspects incorporated in their behavior. TKL lions have to be more like real lions, even in fan-labor when someone treat animal kingdom like an absurd copy of humans' society I end with a WTF face.
If you want to anthropomorphize animals please do a little research in animal behavior, I quote a brony:
