Description
Second one down. ^^ I'm actually really enjoying these birds to the point that I think I may do birds for all of them. I've always loved quetzals, with their long tails, and it just seemed like the right one to do for an ink-painting.Anyone know any other birds they think would be neat to see?

I like this one a lot better than the first. Not to say the last one was bad, this just appeals to my personal taste more. I love how painted it looks. I like paintings when I can actually see the strokes. I'm a whore for Impressionism and Baroque style art. I don't have anything to say about the Quetzal other then it looks really cute. *fluffy head* And you're right, the tail feathers are beautiful.
The branch it's sitting on looks great. The shadows really make it look sturdy enough to hold the Quetzal's weight and you didn't even have to add texture. Nice job.
White India ink? Since when was there white India ink?! *runs out to the store*

Actually, I went back and went over the tree in the first one with a different kind of shading, to try to get that layered thing you were talking about- [link]

Thank you! ^^ Heh, I definitely liked this one better too- it was just a medium I preferred over the first one.

That is so awesome
A peacock would be cool. But so would a cockatoo(I don't think I spelled that right...), and a mackaw would be kinda neat, and so on and so forth. I can probably come up with more later.

Thanks. ^^
I totally considered a peacock, but this project is already late and that could take weeks at the rate I go. XD I might do one later, though, once I can use these bottled india inks again.
