This is for my dear friend Julian, who lives in Berlin, Germany. Herzlischen Gluekwunsch zum Geburtstag, Julian! (I hope I spelled it right. I had my friend - a German exchange student in my Spanish class - tell me how to say "Happy Birthday" in German.) Actually, yesterday was his b-day (the 22nd), but I didn't have an access to a scanner until today. I would have submitted it yesterday, but...yeah, you know the deal. I hope he likes this. I think Ayane was his favourite DOA girl.This is Ayane from the XBOX 360 video game Dead or Alive 4. *Edit* She's in her c3 outfit, not c4. Sorry! I've only played the game once. I know the outfit isn't 100% accurate, but I only had so much reference to this particular outfit of hers.

Hayabusa is a cool character. He's hard for me to draw though (mainly because he's very muscular...I have a long way to go before I can draw muscles correctly).

whoa! great composition! I'm always do like the way you add in a well colored BG in your character profile paintings. I especially luv them sakura blossoms and the starry night combo ^_~
I really liked the way you colored her skin with all them highlight spots ^w^ and the way you painted her outfit with all them designs are CRAZY! it's cool how you still kept it nice and neat with the shadows and all. I like her eyes too! the way you made it look like she has masacra on, it really brings out her pretty red eyes. all in all, beautifully done!

Awesome drawing, hon. I like your decision to have it as a nighttime picture. The title made me think it was going to be all sunny! Im pretty sure that its her c2, her c3 is her school uniform, c4 is my favortie one, hard to explain but it has alot of detail on it, c5 is her in a coat with a dark green skirt, and her last cosume is the same last one in DOAU2.

Yes, I use these Japanese watercolours, the brand name: Koi. They work really nicely, because the colours come out rather bold. Out of all the watercolors I have used, Koi is the best.
