Description
This is Kall Aralon, The first apothecary of Word bearers legion and chosen of Kor Phaeron. Obviously (imediately) after Horus heresy. Made his armour posessed by several demons of the warp including his reductor which is fully turned into a demonic claw. His armour is addorned with the bones of his fallen brothers (in the battles against the hated Ultramarines) as he sees that it's his duty to praise their devotion to the glory of chaos in this fashion. I've never seen a picture of a chaos apothecary so I had to try thisSpent two full weeks(on and off) working on this one. Even thought of discardin it.
I'm proud of this one, I think it has character
Done with a technical pencil o,5mm
Tell me what you think

Wow man, some gorgeous detailing on this one, reminds me of Ian Miller's technique, very daemonic! It's nice to see a Word Bearer apothecary...all you usually hear about are their chaplains!

I am really impressed by this piece of art The horns, the details of the shoulder ornaments, even the chains!! I can only imagine how much effort you have put into this, and it shows.
I remember looking at some of your pieces of work awhile back and WOW...The difference is there, and its a reallllllllly noticeable improvement
Good luck for the future~

Thank you very much. It's the most detailed picture I've drawn by far and it took the longest to finish.

That's awesome mate. Takes me back to some of the early days of Warhammer art-there's no school like the old school. I'd like to see some legs/feet though! I have a tendancy to cut them off in many pictures, but including them grounds the figure more and gives it a sense of completeness. Great work.

I can tell that you put lot of effort on this, nice daemonic details and other details, shading is pretty good and it definetly has "character" in it.
With a good background this could be really really astounding "character" pencil work but it is good as it is.
The pose could be more interesting but then it would be hard to make it show everything so I can't really give you criticism heheh.

combination of both probably, I'll look for similar looking parts and alter them as needs be, anything I can't find I'd make from scratch
plenty of Chaos Marine parts are similar to what you've got there, Orc or Hobgoblin heads for the gargoyles on the backpack ... plastic spawn parts for the head and left claw... guitair strings for tubes ... maybe a lightning claw for the righthand. the bones would be easy enough to sculpt onto plain armour ... I could go on

Good work. I can see that you've put a LOT of time into it. Time well spent.
Fabius bile is a chap that comes to mind here. Emperor's Children turned freelance, cultist, apothecary of chaos or something.
I am genuinely looking foreward to more work by you.
By the way, how do you get shoulder pads proportioned so well. I tend to oversize.

Thanks man. I did put a lot of time into it. Especially the time spent for shading. As this is a picture done entirely with a 0,5mm pencil and it has several layers of shading.

You think so? I guess it's looking at other art and learning from it that does the trick.
