...Well, it was most likely because she was nagging him, teasing him, and trying to wrench out any 'good' in him, because apparently, fangirls think that their Sparrow-Sue can heal him with their sex, sass, & unique-'charm'
......Yeah right. Like NO other woman has tried THAT with Reaver before. If so, then where are they now? My guess is either dead, or discarded...
Honestly, do you really think that Reaver would change after progressing (or regressing) into what he is, for more than 200 years? After all that he's done?
It's like those Rorschach-fangirls who think that they could 'change' him from what he grew up into.
Long-story-short, Reaver had his 'one & only' a long time ago, no one will replace her. Not even your shitty Sparrow-Sue. No one. He'll have sex with LOTS of people, yes, but no one will replace his lost, unnamed love.
Play the damn game, people! And at least learn about the characters before tossing their personalities out the window!

Love saves the villain. I hate that not because the concept itself is terrible but because it's never done properly. When being in love changes a person for the better it isn't because their lover spends all their time trying to fix them. It's because said lover accepts for who they are flaws and all. This inspires them to WANT to be a better person. It's why the greatest compliment a man can give a women is "You make me want to be a better man" We'll use Reaver as an example. In fanfiction he meets a lovely MarySue who fixes him with hugs and cuddles and lectures about his evil. NO! Just so much NO! For this to work she needs to be supportive but not encouraging of his behavior. Accept him for him and you have the best shot of him changing. Although if you really love they shouldn't have to change. That's the rule to follow.

Well said! Not to mention the fact that Reaver has lived for so long that it would take a LOT more than some confrontational n00b to change his thoughts and feelings about the world and society. Selfishness is what got him where he is today, asking him to 'change his evil ways' would easily be too much to ask.

I'm telling you, we should get a petition signed for Reaver to be a 'one-night-stand' option for the main character in the next Fable game! They give us this delicious eye candy, but then deny us a taste! And screw good Reaver, we all love him because he's bad, we want a dominant 'I can do whatever the heck I want and not even you're going to stop me' kin of guy! My head cannon is that if Reaver and Sparrow ever did have a relationship that wasn't just sexual, it would be out of due respect tithe other, no lovey dovey mushy stuff!

I agree with this 100%. If Reaver changed he wouldn't be Reaver anymore and it annoys me when people try, he had one true love, aka "her" ,and she died along with everyone else in Oakvale and no amount of Sparrows will ever replace "her", if anything they will be a one night stand and nothing more.

I attempted to do a Reaver fanfic but stopped after a paragraph because it simply can't be done. The only match for him I could think of was one of my villains and that would be a touch-and-go sexed up trying to kill each other fest of mixed egotism. Which wouldn't make much of a love story.

I like to think that, if Reaver did fall in love with Sparrow, it would be very dysfunctional and obsessive, based mainly on sex. Maybe Sparrow would also be very into sex and they'd have many orgies together. Then perhaps it would all end between them because Sparrow wants someone to settle down with and have kids. Reaver would probably just go back to his orgies and be angry that Sparrow would ever marry someone in the first place, and maybe one of Sparrow's children would be Reaver's, not that he would ever know. ( He doesn't even like kids, why would Sparrow tell him it was his)(Yay! Then there was the Hero of Brightwall)
It would be an odd romance, but interesting, I like the pairing, but hate how people change Reaver's personality. I do, however, love the idea of the Hero of Brightwall being Reaver's child.

My prince's father hated him SO MUCH that the HATE became GENETICALLY CODED into the heroic bloodline so that any hero of his blood will HATE Reaver WITH A BURNING PASSION THAT DWARFS THAT OR A THOUSAND AURORAN DESERT SUNS! And that was BEFORE Reaver tried to kill the prince in that insane game at the party!
I wanted to tie him up, play 'kick the pirate-turned-industrial-magnate' all around Bowerstone, then hang him by his arms in the palace gardens so I can take pot-shots at him with a pistol whenever I'm stressed from being king, until such time as the Shadow Court finally comes to TAKE HIS SOUL.

I don't know... Where could they go with the franchise? What time period is next? We've already got the Victorian era.
I think my major complaint was that there just wasn't enough of... Well, anything in the game. On the most basic level... It felt like it should have been on two disks. One for the rebellion and one for ruling Albion. They could have fitted so much more into the game like that. Battles for different cities in the rebellion, choosing whether to shoulder the burden yourself, or send your followers into riskier battles... Maybe different approaches to taking a city, depending on those choices... Some more to the rebellion than "Gather follower A. Now follower B. Now follower C. Now D. Big battle. You're done." Then when ruling, maybe some more choices, like delaying things such as re-opening academies and housing orphans, until after the light-eating horror from beyond the veil of space and time is defeated? Maybe ruling the aftermath, actually dealing with other countries and internal politics, rather than just a few "Option A or option B" choices...
I don't know. I just really feel like someone needs to sit Peter down and have a frank and honest chat...

Anyway, I still found it pretty charming. Visually it was awesome. The Darkness, I don't think, was really needed. Like, I was fine with ruling the kingdom.

I know I do, I literally restarted my 360 because I wanted to see him shoot Lucien in the head again. It was hands down the funniest thing I've seen all year. Mostly because I was really tired and totally not expecting it because Reaver wasn't even in my camera's view. Lucien was just ranting then he got shot in the face, and then fell off the spire out of no where. I was like WTF just happened?!?
