...Well, it was most likely because she was nagging him, teasing him, and trying to wrench out any 'good' in him, because apparently, fangirls think that their Sparrow-Sue can heal him with their sex, sass, & unique-'charm'
......Yeah right. Like NO other woman has tried THAT with Reaver before. If so, then where are they now? My guess is either dead, or discarded...
Honestly, do you really think that Reaver would change after progressing (or regressing) into what he is, for more than 200 years? After all that he's done?
It's like those Rorschach-fangirls who think that they could 'change' him from what he grew up into.
Long-story-short, Reaver had his 'one & only' a long time ago, no one will replace her. Not even your shitty Sparrow-Sue. No one. He'll have sex with LOTS of people, yes, but no one will replace his lost, unnamed love.
Play the damn game, people! And at least learn about the characters before tossing their personalities out the window!

Sometimes I fantasize about Reaver's karma finally catching up with him; I still find it hard to believe Lionhead Studios came up with such a despicable character. I took great pleasure in thwarting each of his proposals in Fable 3.

I'm glad that you made this. I've been browsing Fanfiction.net, trying to find a good Reaver story that's not mushy and just... far-fetched.
It's really annoying when fans take the characters and change them completely for their own purposes. And it's not only in this fandom. I've read plenty of stories with the Joker from the Batman comics being depicted as a loving, faithful, and respectful lover... seriously?
Besides, if anything was to happen between Sparrow (or any OC) and Reaver, it'd be sex and that's about it.

It's more likley that SPARROW would be the one changed/ corrupted by him...only to be thrown out like old fish when he gets bored with her, of coarse.
And while I do beleive people can find love again (people do it all the time when their "one-and-onlys" die, my aunt being one example :/), I have to agree, these fangirls are pretty rediculous -___-

And you're right. No Sparrow-sue (or stu!) is gonna change the way Reaver is, and to be honest, I would really hate the guy if he was any other way, period. People love/hate him BECAUSE of his character, because he is SUCH a character. If someone brought me some tamed, reformed, less dangerous and psychopathic Reaver, I'd tell them to take him back and give me the real one, a trigger happy hedonist. oops, sorry 'bout the rant, I'm just as frustrated about the fan-fictions. idk, I haven't actually looked at any Fable fanficking, but I always love the sappy idea of.... basically all that stuff you said would never happen. MARY SUES FOR THE WIN!!
it's not good plot, but it sure is yummy and fluffy 
....but yeah. Reaver really is not likely to change any time soon. My version of Reaver fanfiction is pretty much just wild kinky sex and the queen going, "The @#*! was I thinking?" the next morning
....and then doing it again the next night, obviously.

My character in 3 will have all her fun one night stands with him but there's no love involved, just lots and lots of lust and hard rough sex :3 lolz

In Fable II he's an annoying douche. In Fable III he's and evil douche! The passage of time actually made him worse! I can never understand what girls see in that freak. Sure, he's hot on the outside but his true nature shows you what he really is, a monster. Who ever Reaver use to be, is dead now and there is no shred of good left inside him.

You know it's only going to get worst now they made him even hotter looking and have that Eyes Wide Shut style party in Fable III? Even though they made him an even bigger heartless jerk the pretty will make the fangirls love him even more.
I kind of think Lionhead know all about the mental 'Reaver's just a cuddly, faithful, loyal, loving, true and kind man under all that evil and betrayal!' stuff that goes on, they have a NCP that asks you to help her complete her collection of Reaver related items in a creepy, creepy, way. Oh and we get to see his sex room, complete with cages and stocks cos he's just so romantic like that deep down. Evil Reaver is much more smexy than domesticated Reaver anyhow, why would you want to change such a fabulous deviant into a boring redeemed anti-hero? FANGIRLS, EMBRACE YOUR LOVE OF THE VERY BAD MAN, DON'T GO TRYING TO CHANGE HIM!
But hey, if you can't accept him as he is just ignore all the times he tried to sell out the hero in Fable II, his deal with the Shadow Court, the fact he cares nothing for anyone but himself, the casual way he devalues the life of everyone around him, the child labour, the strip mining, the brothel running, the shooting of innocents and you've got the ideal man... I completely see why they want him to be their Good-Sparrow!Sue's loving, devoted husband or whatever, what a catch!

I've always enjoyed pairing canon characters with fan characters or the character I created throughout the course of the game in the case of certain games like Harvest Moon(which encourages it) or Fable. But it's true, you do hav to try to keep those characters in character. I think if I ever draw Reaver with anyone, it'll probably be my slutty-ass bitch character who likes to burn things(started with an RP involving the corruption of a woman by obtaining the Philosopher's Stone, wound up being an any situation character). It would be a good fling. But just that. A fling.
