Wasn't Chrysalis imprisoned in that alternate dimension with her hive in the comics? After Celestia fought off a bunch of giant killer cockatrices from that giant magic enhancing comet? I'm serious this totally happened in the IDW comics (very much so canon).

the comics are not canon, just a possibility...seriously, several things in the IDW comics contradict the show; based on when he comic was released compared to the episodes. So far the only canon items are the seasonal episodes (NOT EG 1 & 2) and the 'Journal of the Two Sisters' book according to Hasbro. (As so far, the 6 novelettes are not even confirmed by H)
