Description
Brooch, companion piece to Natural Histories. It's a 2 headed snake.Once again, nickle, paper, and epoxy, though this time with a 10mm black cat's eye apatite. Can't say I'm particularily happy with how this turned out, but I do quite like the concept.
Text is from Darwin's On the Origin of Species.

I don't know why, but this really strikes me. I love the look and the lines and the gleam of the metal next to the aged look of the paper.
Very nice. :3

I used a diffirent combination of glues on this one. The backing epoxy had a 24 hour set time as opposed to the 5 minute stuff I used in the last one. It seeps through the paper, making it a bit more transparent. I oxidized the metal behind it before gluing it down so they'red be some variance in the tones that showed through.
Glad you like it
