This is actually something that happened today. Me and my friend Β were talking about food and we ended up comparing pot sizes (because there's no way a "Cozido Γ Portuguesa" would fit in that little thing)
I'm not familiar with how things are with Germany, but Port is definitely a big eater. He loves food and takes it very, VERY seriously

I remember this one time, my grandma was cooking, and all the sudden she pulls this huge pot from somewhere, God knows where, and I was like "What are we cooking? The whole ocean?" so that's what this picture reminded me of XD

LOL, that's actually a pretty accurate description of his appetite XD
But yeah, traditionally we use to cook for a large number of people who often did heavy duty work, so it's not surprising Port having huge pots and eating a lot

yeah, we live near the harbor and originally come from a family of seafarers and factory workers, so it makes sense 
I seriously love how you draw Port though ^^ kinda reminds me of how my uncle used to dress :3

But there's a difference in eating style. Port prefers to eat slowly and savor the food (meals can often take 1-2 hours. Sometimes even 4), while America pretty much inhales itΒ

hmm, me as german who visited spain recently must say... damn, how can they eat so much?!
me and my class mates were like *eating* "buh, ya esta" and then our host mothers come with a giant pot and tell us that what we just ate was only the appetizer! damn, i'll never eat something again ~.~
