Portugal is crazy about chickens. He loves their eggs, their meat... and one of his national symbols is a black rooster! [link]So it's no wonder the black rooster is seen as his (unofficial) national animal, while Spain has the bull
I've been wanting to draw their animals together for some time, but couldn't think of a good idea for a comic strip. It finally hit me when I drew the rest of the rooster's family (a rooster can't be proud if it doesn't have a family to defend)
I named the rooster Joaquim, the hen Guilhermina and the chick EusΓ©bio

I once got inside a chicken coop, who's owner said the rooster was a mean one. I don't know if it was from me feeding them potato chips or for not going after them, but the rooster ignored me
