Description
This is a graphite pencil drawing of a character called DAWN
she appears in comic publications by Joseph Michael Linsner.

This is my interpretation of one of Joe's pieces.

I used some new materials and techniques (new for me anyway)
on this drawing. materials used were:
220 g/m heavyweight Windsor & Newton Cartridge paper,
Graphite pencils: 3H, 4H, 4B, and a black pencil from a color pencil
set (polychromos) for the outlines and darkest areas.
This was new for me mixing standard graphite pencils with a black
(color) pencil.
another new technique for me was using cotton wool for blending, and a
kneadable artists rubber for bringing back the highlights.
Was very pleased with the result, and certainly will be using the cotton
wool all the time in future.
