This is a funny scene that was in my head that I want to slip into An Angel's Test which is just after An Angel's Revenge where her hair turns white. So here's a rough cut, just ideas version of the scene.

Kalista owns her own club called the Angelic Lounge and it's the middle of the day (probably sometime in the mid morning or afternoon). She's all alone in the club and fuming mad. She goes into the back kitchen to prep some food for tonight and blow off some steam where she can't hurt anyone. she puts her phone on silent and leaves it in by the bar. She throws up her mental shields high enough that she can block out everyone's powers from ever reaching for her. She starts cutting things and talking to herself about the problem unaware that her entire family are trying to reach her.

Beryx, who has been out of town on an undercover mission of sorts and has been radio silence is back on US soil. When he arrives home, his kids and Anna (Kalista's mother) greet him. They tell him that Kali has been distant, fuming mad, and won't talk to them. He goes upstairs to change and call her but finds her phone going straight to voicemail and he can't find her through their connection. This makes me rightly nervous. He teleports to the alley near the club but finds the back door locked and loud music playing.

He goes around to the front and unlocks the door with the key she gave him. Opening the front door trips a power barrier that causes Kalista's hair to stand on end. She opens her powers and feels Beryx in the other room. She runs out of the kitchen and straight into him. The force knocks him over and she goes down with him, ending up as pictured. She stares at him for a few minutes unsure if she's seeing him or some fantasy in her head.

"Hello there," he says quoting Star Wars (one of Kali's favorite things) and that convinces her this is reality. She kisses him and that's where the scene cuts to black...

At least for right now. I know that's not very detailed, definitely not my usual but hey I'm still working on An Angel Falls ((tentative title)which is book three) and An Angel's test is book Seventeen or eighteen. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it and the picture.
