At one point, DA's very own superstar and cartooning showman extraordinaire Steven Sanchez [link] had an influence on me, my slight change of the approach to drawing and -- without intent to copy the man I've done some extensive sketching inspired by his videos and attractive cartoons.This was one of the results that I shared with the breathlessly awaiting world, having received even Mr. Sanchez's supportive virtual slap on the back.
IMPORTANT: THE GIRL IS NOT NAKED!!! SHE IS IN A SKIN TIGHT COSTUME!!!
Now, I'm collecting all three scanned steps of the work in progress done on a scrap of 120 lbs paper with my [then] ultra-favourite 2mm red lead in clutch pencil and finished with 3H 2mm lead in a different lead holder.
And still dark enough..! Damn...
I wish my sketching went on so breezy and merrilly today... but many a great cartoonist used to say that once or twice a year drawing comes easilly and it lasts for an hour at most.
The rest of the time it's like teeth pulling.
So who am I to complain..?

The fact of a matter is -- this sketch actually flew quite easily and in an relaxed manner onto the paper..! I was thinking aloud about other instances when - in most cases - things didn't happen as they were imagined or even supposed to unveil.
In such circumstances the act of drawing is almost a masochistic struggle with final results that don't appear as they were imagined [at least in my humble case].
