Description
It must be the internets influence, but I've never really done a lot of fan-comics for Bethesda games before. I did do some fanart waaaay back when when I was playing Daggerfall with a picture of each of the different elves but that was it. No, I also did a picture of my elf from Morrowind too come to think of it.Anywho, this is the first of a series of comics I'll be doing about Skyrim and my Bosmer, Narwen's, misadventures. This happened after she escaped Cidhna mines and was rewarded with the "Armor of the Old Gods." It is the absolute worst idea of armor ever, but it is a decent armor set if, like Narwen, you shun melee combat. My reaction was the same as Lydia's, but I think Narwen likes it. She's so vain.
Most of these are going to be warm-up sketches/layouts for me so they might be more messy. The cleaner ones I'll post here, the sketches, WIPs, etc, will be put on my tumblr .

lol "Armor"
Seriously though... How the fuck does this have a better base armor rating than leather armor????

Because it has FEATHERS!

That's NOTHING compared to the Briarhearts. Not only are thier hearts exposed, but you can actually pickpocket the heart which leads them to instant death.

I don't think I ever met the Briarhearts. But pickpocketing hearts sounds fun.

The armor actually seems to suit her. It gives her a certain "wild elf" look.Β

well, not only does it not even look like armor, but it has poopy stats to match

It had pretty good stats if you're a stealthy person. At least, i found it was good when I got it. But warriors would have no use for it.

thing is, my main character is a sniper assassin so sneaking is my specialty. but i'de much rather have my trust glass set or make some dragon scale stuff. at least that stuff can hold better in a fight if you happen to come by a few trolls, a dragon, or if a group of enemies spot you.

I like you're style, it's simple but very expressive
I don't understand the Forsworn. I mean, aren't they cold? I feel cold just looking at them. It's Skyrim FFS XD

Thank you!
Maybe they have frost magic that keeps them from frostbite? A frostbite-warding spell would actually be handy in that environment. But yeah, those furs do not seem to cover all the important bits from the cold.

Well on the bright side its some pretty good enchantments at early levels.
π: 0 β©: 1
bukittyan In reply to Druds [2014-04-06 14:33:49 +0000 UTC]
It does have a lot of good enchantments, especially for those who don't want to barrel into combat and like to cast spells and shoot arrows. But to call it armor is a bit silly. Unless the gods have midsections made of iron or something. Or literal iron stomachs and intestines.

that was my same reaction as lydia had...
FIRST it was a quest with only two outcomes...
Β either you go along with the quest as normally intended, OR have a RRREEEEEEAAAALLLY high bounty in markarth...
SECOND was the crappy end reward, i men the armor can be used by roleplaying characters like wood elf barbarians or whatnot but damn if the quest was a little underwhelming at the end.

Hahaha, the armor is actually handy if you don't want to fight face-to-face, but I couldn't get over how it looked.
Lydia is endlessly practical. In my mind, anyway. XD Glad you enjoyed!

XD my current character is like your Narwen. He's an archer, a sneaky one at that. Invisible death from afar~
But he would like that armor, I'm sure, since it's light armor and that's all he wears.

He's eventually going to join the Dark Brotherhood. I think it will be a good way to level up and also get money so he can buy a house.
Yes he does, especially leather. He also loves hunting.
