From now on, if I get an idea for something I wanna draw, even if it's not fandom related, I'm just gonna draw it. hence this comic.Granted this doesn't happen often, but it's SUPER annoying when you're trying to be sympathetic and understanding towards a character in Mass Effect 2 and then your conversation option ends up with Shepard acting like the biggest bitch ever
Dear Bioware. Please fix this in the next game.
I know I almost certainly got the conversation hub thingy wrong but I can't be online and have photoshop open at the same time so I couldn't look for reference and I didn't care enough to boot up the game and have a conversation just to check.
I don't think anything here counts as any kind of spoiler.

Yes I knew that. I didn't follow that when I made this comic. In the game choosing paragon option results in just as much bitchiness from Shep.

But yeah, Shepard is incredibly bitchy toward Mordin during every convo about the genophage. And I hate that when you bring him with you to go find Okeer he tells you to leave Grunt there and all you can say is "What, you mad he's gonna undo your work!?" and "Shut up, no one asked you." Gklajdf. D:

I KNOW! D< I really dunno what Shepard's problem is. Mordin is awesome! As for the Genophage itself I'm a little annoyed that in the game it basically boils down to "GENOPHAGE BAD! YOU EVIL! *paragon points*" or "GENOPHAGE GOOD! KROGAN UGLY! *Renegade points*"
There are a LOT of underlying things regarding the whole mess, and did the game ever think that maybe players would put aside their feelings on the Genophage and.. you know... SIMPLY SUPPORT MORDIN'S FEELINGS?!!! I mean the guy had a crises of faith over this! I DON'T think bitching about how he's EVAL is the thing a friend should do!!

Someone on some board somewhere said this was the one time in the game where Bioware put the politically correct answer as the paragon choice and the one that everyone's thinking but will never admit as the renegade choice... lol that's basically the gist of it, if renegade didn't include the pro-Death-to-all-Krogan thing they have going there.
I mean honestly, Mordin's right. It was either kill them all or lower their birth rates. What else were they supposed to do? /rant
And then at the end you're like "Maelon, Mordin's right! It was the only way!" If I was Mordin, I might have turned around and slapped Shepard for being so bipolar about it.

But seriously yeah. It's one of my favourite missions but I feel the game designers themselves really put you in a box with the choices being VERY black and white. I'm not sure if I agree with the genophage project, but I agree with Mordin's reasoning for why it had to be done and the conclusions he's drawn for himself. It makes me angry that Shepard is so narrow minded about it in the game.
I wanna hug Mordin so bad ;______; but I doubt Bioware's gonna give him the spotlight so uhm... greatly again. I know he'll be in ME3 but not as a team member, which saddens me greatly.

Yeah, and everyone seems to forget that Mordin was not there when the genophage was introduced, that he only modified the existing one. (He's far too young to have been there 2000 freaking years ago, people!) So basically the choices for him personally were let the krogan reproduce and pray to whoever it is that salarians pray to that they don't start a war or modify the genophage. Either way I don't disagree with his decision so there's no reason for Shep to be ripping him a knew one.

haha that happened to me the first time i spoke with Garrus after his "accident". it was my first time playing and i fell absolutely in love with the character, then you have the options of "it look bad" and some other option that sounded totally okay in a joking manner and instead i got, "Yur face haz always been UGLY"
I was modified and had to reset my game.

Yeah, Mass Effect dialogue options can sometimes be SOOOO misleading!!! it's insane! I can't tell you how many times I've re-loaded old saves to repeat a conversation! Like when I was talking to the Asari messenger for the Rachni Queen, I said "Tell her to be good", thinking it meant like "Tell her I said hi and take care" that kinda thing, but Shepard just threatens her and is like "DON'T MAKE ME REGRET NOT KILLING YOU!!!"

You didnt? That must suck. There's a lot of ME2 that changes based on your choices in the first game. If you want, there's some DLC you can get for a low price where it lets you make the major decisions from the first game (Who you romance, whether Wrex lives or dies, whether you saved the council or not, etc) and imports them to your ME2 Shepard.

In Dragon Age 2 they have a dialogue wheel that's basically exactly like the one in Mass Effect, but they also had symbols to tell you what specifically what sort of tone you were going to use. Which was pretty nice. But I mostly liked that the middle option was always the trolling option, rather than the meh option.
And yeah, I personally think the genophage was a bad idea (and that the whole situation is complicated) but man, during his loyalty mission, I wanted to punch my Paragon Shep in the teeth for being such a jerk to Mordin. >_>

XDD I played the first DA but since there was no dialogue from your own character I didn't have this problem as I did in ME2. Hopefully it's a little clearer in ME3.
I was so angry at Shepard when she was being such a giant bitch to him D8 I'm not sure I agree with the genophage project or not since it's a little too far above my head and I've heard too many different in game opinions from Krogan themselves. But I know because I don't understand it I should AT LEAST give Mordin some support instead of acting like a whore towards him.

Oh God I've totally noticed this, too. The bottom right option is always Mega Bitch, no matter how logical the text in the wheel seems to be. Shepard kind of has an attitude the whole time she was questioning Mordin about the genophage on Tuchanka, though. That really annoyed me, haha. I was like "I don't like your tone, Shep"
