From now on, if I get an idea for something I wanna draw, even if it's not fandom related, I'm just gonna draw it. hence this comic.Granted this doesn't happen often, but it's SUPER annoying when you're trying to be sympathetic and understanding towards a character in Mass Effect 2 and then your conversation option ends up with Shepard acting like the biggest bitch ever
Dear Bioware. Please fix this in the next game.
I know I almost certainly got the conversation hub thingy wrong but I can't be online and have photoshop open at the same time so I couldn't look for reference and I didn't care enough to boot up the game and have a conversation just to check.
I don't think anything here counts as any kind of spoiler.

I love it! I love her answer and it just made me laugh. Frankly while I may not know the details I don't I would be all that sympathetic if millions of unborn children were killed depending on the reasoning behind it. But still this made me laugh. You should do something like this again.

I love Mordin's personal mission because it's VERY ethically questionable. It's hard to accept what he's done but at the same time if you hear the full story you can't say what he did was wrong either. I also like that the character himself has deep problems because his involvement despite him believing he did the right thing.

Thats why I prefer dialog tree Dragon Age/Knight of the Old Republic style. At least it shows what you are gonna say completely. Or at most, they could simply put an icon showing how you are gonna say it (Sarcasm, sympathetic, insults, etc).

I agree yes. *nods* I don't mind it not showing the full conversation since Shepard has long lines, but it could help if the summery could at least have SOME indication as to whether Shepard is going to respond angrily or not. For the most part it does, but in Mordin's personal mission it just went nuts.

Oh god Mordin's dialogue choices . . . its only going to get worse on his loyalty missions. If you're not sure what to pick, the neutral option is the best. The dialogue wheel is just so dang unpredictable.

XDD It's the loyalty mission that knocked me on my ass with them. Luckily I made it out without damaging his loyalty to hurting whatever friendship I'd built with him (if the game monitors that at all. It's not indicated like in DA so I'm not sure).
This hasn't really happened this badly since that mission except for the part where Mordin was all "Look. Just wanna through this out there but I'm like... salarian.. so not interested. Sorry."
and the dialogue wheel was "Thanks all the same" and Shepard as all "Oh hee hee! I'm not gonna tell him I never had any interest at all! I'll just say thanks for the easy let down lol!!"

There's no "rival/friendship" system in ME2 like in DA2. You can say whatever to your team and it doesn't effect your relationship with them (unless its with someone who's a romance option). Who are you romancing anyway?
Mordin is totally messing with you about the flirting. If you choose the "You're joking right?" it pretty much confirms it.

XDD is it not one of those options where one option turns the conversation into something completely else where the other one changes the character's intent? He seemed pretty sincere when I chose the "Thanks anyway" option and seemed relieved.

The responses are always sincere based on what you chose, not necessarily the character. There's one particular conversation with Garrus about Cerberus where if you agree with him about joining up with them, he approves. If you disagree, he'll state he was only joking. It's one of the reasons I like Mordin so much, he'll fight back against Shepard and defend his beliefs and actions.

Actually, that's hilarious, because I was thinking the same damn thing about the conversations with Mordin last night. I'd like a bit more indication about whether my choice of words will be accusatory or not. Good thing Mordin is logical enough to see Shepard's reasoning even if she acts like a judgemental bitch XD

I've always played as my ManeShepard until recently, when I started a new ME2 playthrough as a new FemShep. She's far, far more Renegade than my normal Shepard, who is way too nice, but she's only a wicked bitch to our enemies XD I've managed remarkably well to keep her logical and honourable amongst the team. Still, couldn't help accidentally making her drop a mean remark to Mordin on Tuchanka, ha. Oh, that conversation wheel.

I'm pretty paragon myself XD but I got quite a bit of renegade points too so I feel I'm somewhat balanced (Muuuuuch more paragon though) she doesn't feel like a Mary Sue to me though so that's good

haha that was my problem of these type of games, the "symphatetic" answers were mostly corny for me and the rest were offensive XD;
not that i ever played myself..but i followed many with my mom who used to show me all her beloved ones
