Description Lothor was exiled from Palangard for his part in the Dragonbreaker Revolt, an uprising against the city's ruler, an ancient dragon named Nethraxthar.

Under Nethraxthar's watchful eye, Palangard had thrived and prospered. Yet, in the alleys and taverns of the city, people spoke of the price exacted for Nethraxthar's protection - offerings and sacrifices that had grown increasingly burdensome. Tales of missing children and unexplained disappearances, whether true or not, spoke to the beast's insatiable appetite. And there was unease among some Palangarders at the way their city had come to worship the dragon as a god.

Lothor, as a member of the Wyrmguard, served the dragon and helped protect the city and its inhabitants. In the early days, he believed in the dragon's promise to keep the people of Palangard safe but, as time went by, he began to question Nethraxthar's benevolence. The final straw came when Lothor was ordered to disperse a crowd of people protesting over the disappearance of a child they believed had been sacrificed to the dragon.Β

Lothor's refusal to follow these orders marked the beginning of his transformation from loyal servant to a rebel against the dragon's rule. The Dragonbreaker Revolt, in which he played a pivotal role, sought to free Palangard from Nethraxthar's grip.

At a critical moment, when the Dragonbreakers stood on the brink of victory, The Arch-Magister of Vermistad, Kellandren Morlind, came to the dragon's aid and helped him crush the rebellion.

The ringleaders were rounded up and executed. Only Lothor was spared, in recognition of his years of loyal service in the Wyrmguard, his sentence commuted to exile.Β

Bitter and defeated, Lothor headed for Vermistad in search of the man he held responsible for the uprising's failure and the death of his friends: Kellandren. It was here that he crossed paths with a woman named Vilmara Fellspyke , a mercenary captain who shared his thirst for revenge against the Arch-Magister. They arranged to meet in the Sinking Quarter. It was here, in the heart of Vermistad's criminal underbelly, that Lothor and Vilmara's alliance was sealed and a plot set in motion that would change the city forever.
