Description
A most honourable greeting to you, fellow survivor! It is an honour to see you in one piece after the atrocious apocalypse which has hit us all in 2012.
Oh... I am sorry, I didn't see you had just one arm left, ah but cheer up, you're alive!...
I have no doubts that when the world pushes itself back on its feet, you will be able to tell of your adventure, and how you managed to survive. You must have surely branded the "I will survive" stamp back in 2009; a very wise choice indeed.
Here, take this stamp. It is a token, a reward to show the world that you too, are a proud survivor of 2012.

Haha, it was created as a prediction that 2012 would not be the end of the world. Big surprise!

The only apocalypse that ever happened was heavy snow weather and strong winds in my hometown. Nothing serious.

Isn't this a little to early to, are in a hurry that you want this year to and so quickly?
You know, I always wanted to know, what makes you ( not referring to you but to the average ) and others so sure that nothing will happen. I mean yes, you probably would ask the same question from me when you will stop reading this, but I will answer it just so that I spear your time. I and many or few think that something will happen because we believe and hope in something which was taken from everyone, which is called Life and Hope. Maybe the Skeptics and the Realists say that we have Hope and Life, well, can you show it to me then what kind of Life do we have, and what kind of Hope will our children and their children will have if this keeps on going, this mentality? do you really think that this way of thinking will lead you to a happy, healthy and better life? I mean, think about it, What makes you ( again I refer to the average ) really sure that nothing will happen?

The way I see it most of the time is "If I can't prove otherwise, I'll not go against it 100%."
Basically, I'd say I lean more towards the thought that nothing will happen, mainly due to the fact that we're referring to a Mayan calendar, created by mankind. There are so many myths, legends, etc, even religions. I respect everybody's faiths, but I lean more towards the scientific approaches. So to me, it's not very probable.
But anyway, yes sure, something could happen, I cannot prove it won't. But you know what? It's better, for everybody, that the majority do not believe it. You describe the "mentalities" which I completely agree with you, will lead us to our peril in the end. Now, just imagine 7 billion people, with the certainty they only have a few months left to live. Now that would be the worst chaos the world has ever seen, you wouldn't want to live that.
So what do you do if you believe it will happen? Make the most of it, but keeping it reasonable. Go do things you've wanted to do, go visit places, what ever you fancy. Point in the end is, it's that very "hope" that's keeping everybody alive and if it's gone, I can assure you death will be much closer than December 21st.

Well, I agree with you as well it would be chaos, but maybe it wouldn't be but instead many would give up their material wealth and become enlightened, and their eyes would open up. Also, my hope is not death, but a shift, and that is what I also believe. Thank you for the reply, you are the first one who wrote me back

...Love the stamps. Hate pre apocalyptic movies. THey drive me insane. Even though they are interesting. Have you gotten to see the motion picture Knowing? It is a really good thriller. I think it has the actor Nickolas Cage in it.

Hehe thanks
Bah yeah, if you think about it too much then it is kind of disturbing.
But I just went in to see lots of action, explosions and chaos... and it did just that !
Nah I've not got round to watching it yet, it's on my list of need-to-watch though!
