Time for more art!
This one took a bit longer than my last few. I remembered to check this one with a few different color profiles before submitting it this time, so hopefully I won't have to make my usual flurry of edits.
I tried to use a softer texture this time around. The glowing scales and colors were especially fun to use.

the silhouette through the wings should be more blurry, not crystal clear.
it is however, an artistic decision. I like how it looks, but it bugs me a bit.

Artistic direction is one possibility... oversight is another.
I didn't think much about that while I was working on it, actually. I just spent a little more time playing around with it, and added a slight blur to that silhouette. I didn't blur it to the point where that sort of detail is lost, I just softened the edges a bit.
I think it's an improvement. Thank you for pointing that out.

Beautiful work there, the dragon, the background and the star (or what looks like a star) it is holding are just stunning, although the back legs look rather large.

I had to re-size the back legs when I was working on this one, because they were comically small in my initial sketch. By the looks of things, I may have overcompensated... I'll do my best to avoid that mistake next time around, though. Thanks for pointing that out.

I'll study that a bit, and check out some references next time. Anatomy is one of the major areas that I'm trying to improve on.
I was more concerned about how the wings affected the composition of the piece than how they would operate mechanically when drawing this one.

Indeed it is.
Anatomy is one of the areas that I'm attempting to improve on, at the moment. Having a decent understanding of anatomy is quite helpful. I'm not quite there yet... but it's something to practice.
