The new virtual role playing game had just been released and Emerson was eager to play it. Most of his life had been spent playing VRPGs and he was really impressed with all the subtle changes made to them over the years.

The one was called Magic School. Characters would start out as children and would gradually age as the players leveled their characters up. A bonus feature first used in Fate of Rylos was added that enabled the players to actually think they were the characters they were playing. This feature was of course optional but many players felt the experience just was not the same without it.

Despite the fact that some people felt the new technology was dangerous, Emerson connected himself to the game without thinking twice. He even selected the option for random features.

He ended up as an attractive young girl with red hair and blue eyes. It was quite impressive for a random selection, almost as if by magic. Upon seeing the results, Emerson wished he could be with this character instead of be this character. That did not last long. The hypnosis took its effect and he basically thought of himself as what was his ideal dream girl.

She (as far as he was concerned) entered the school for her first day of classes. The first few minutes were spent meeting new people. Then she had to go to class. Her teachers taught her a few spells which were surprisingly easy to master. She found herself well on her way to success.

Being her first day, she decided to spend her time exploring the school. It was not long before she encountered a secret room. Inside was a ghost who claimed to be an older teenage boy. That was such a silly idea.

Using her magic, she changed the ghost into a young girl just like herself. This made things much better. It would not take long for Emerson to become one of the more skilled players at the game. She enjoyed helping the newer students learn new spells and explore the school.

This was her life! She knew of no other and she never wanted to leave.
