I haven't done anything in a while, so I finally sat down for a few days to knock something out.This time of year we do get that red sky. It's noticeable more so away from the city, and looking in at the city. It seems to happen more at fall than any other time of the year.
Sketched, scanned, and then painted in (c)Adobe Fireworks.
Background scene of Lake Michigan was in part a photograph taken by me at Houghton Lake Michigan, that was modified morphed and otherwise.

Thats greats news. I did have a dog. Xander was his name but he passed away September... actually now i think about it - it was a month today.. so yea. He was a silky Terrier and yea.. but now i have a kitten but i wish i had my Xander back but he lived a good life

doors open, doors close, with each new door nothing is ever the same yet we all go on down that ole' hallway. learning about loss is as bad as loss itself. once you except the limitations of the gift of life the more content and happy you can be. since I was born in 1967, half the world has died off and been replaced by subsequential generations. and even though half the world has been replaced, it's pretty much the same world. As fall brings death to all the leaves, smaller plants and insects, just to have it all come back anew in the spring. The hillside I looked over in 1985 was not the same hillside in 1986, or even 2007. Yet take a photo in 2008 and not a whole lot changed. Maybe our permanence is in our impermanence as well, who can tell.

I saw it a few times this fall, but fall's not over yet. I will look for it and try to photograph it with a new digital camera that I picked up over the summer. It has all the features the 35mm SLRs, like the Canon A-1 have.
