I've done this artwork is for a German artist communityΒ for our calendar 2024 "Dans le foureΜ" (In the Forest) Now available to order via his link (only german)Landing-Page Instagram (obscurcouleur.de)
It's a beatiful calender showing all sorts of forest creatures such as nymphs, satyrs, fairies etc, featuring different artists.
To my artwork there's a little bit of a story: The deercentaur, the Spirit of Winter, is in awe as he spots the Spirit of Spring, a beautiful fairy who is just about to melt the icy river, turning the forest into spring. As Winter watches, his antlers begin to melt; as always when Spring takes over in this ever reoccuring cycle...
I imagine a delicate love story between them... :3
I even have ideas for Summer and Autumn Spirits, both having attributes like wings who will get dissolved (but will regrow again) when the following season appears. Like, Summer burning away Springs wings. Summer himself, I imagine to be a pegasus centaur with leaves as wings which will fall off when Autumn appears... ^^ Autumn, I imagine as a satyr, indulging in the the fruits of the harvest season~
