Shannyn Sossamon, in Ebony Black graphite. I haven't drawn anything in a while so please bear with me if I'm alittle rusty. Well, let's see, the hair could've been better, and certain textures don't looks so smooth, mostly because I got too lazy to take proper time to make them good. Well, the shirt didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it to, but I think it looks decent enough. Anything else I missed?Related content

her right eye is exquisite (the left is a bit off but that doesnt really matter because its covered partially by hair) and her shirt is beuatiful.

only thing I would really change is that I'd prolly go over it with a smudger or some such nonsense to make the skin smoother... you have such perfect texture for everything else, why not do the same with the skin?

hey, thanks. Yeah, right after I get done with the face and the hair, my pencil isn't really sharp anymore and either I don't notice it, or I'm too lazy to sharpen it. I really do need better discipline...

just the fron hair isnt as good as it could be from you, I guess your scanner fucked it up a little because the left side of the image is a lot more blurry than the right side...
otherwise, I love Shannyn Sossamon and I think you made her real beautiful.. good work...
I'd also like to say that i think you are way under-rated and dont give the exposure you desrve, I think you're the first drawer that I have see nhere on DA that doesnt, I mean a really god drawer in my opinion, your last brad Pitt sketch was fantastic, hope more of your works get exposed ..

You are so good at eyes. It's incredible. I like the shirt. It looks very realistic, especially on her upper arms. Those little folds and creases seem to jump right off the page!

this looks lovely! and i don't know what you mean about the shirt, it looks great, clothing is hard to draw. the only thing i can see is that the left side of her face looks more blurred than the other side, but you can fix stuff like that easily. it's nice to see some great pencil work like this, especially one that people have commented on and love, too much "traditional" art isn't appreciated anymore

once again, awesome work, i especially love her eyes. youre really good at showing emotion in artworks like these, where theyre just pictures made with pencils, but you give them a certain spirit. well done dude.

this is awesome! the shirt is flawless...overall, the shading is great...hair looks fine to me ....only complaint would have to be the blur on the left eye and chin...im sure its the scanners fault tho (damn scanners!)...anywayz, me like...me want more

but i'm just wondering if it's me or is the left eye slightly blurred compared to the right? that whole side of her face (left) just seems to be "out of focus" and the right in focus...

i say u did a great job on the shirt.. i really like it.. i have a problem drawing fabric.. always out patients.. the shirt look even smoother then the skin. . hehe..
one thing look odd in the picture.. her.. um. left eye... the other look great.. but the left one dont seem to match up.. i havnt seen the original so i dont know.. just seem odd to me.
glad to finaly see some of ur drawing.. altho i did expect to see a FEW of em.. not just ONE!.. lol.. its be THAT long of time...

i love graphite drawings! they're so messy it's hard to work with, but you draw with them very well. the detail and shading in this is incredible. i should check out your gallery now.
