I have been wanting to do a "Draw This Again" challenge for a while and finally settled on one to start with! I wanted to redraw something that was just...EXTREMELY old and this particular picture was one of the more interesting poses/concepts from the era I was looking around in. The original picture I was working off of was a really small scan and I miraculously found the original today and rescanned it, so here it is in (what I assume to be) my scraps!

Anyway it is a Seraph Sy! In the original picture the ring was an afterthought detail but over the years the canon became that "ring imagery is used a lot in shapeshifter religious context" ~hence why Nybrieth's design includes rings as well as the other cosmic wyrm deities. I can't remember if I still have any corvafex pics in my gallery but they also have rings going on in their design.

This was really fun, I'm quite happy how it turned out. I think this had the most concept planning I've done in a super long time. Originally I kind of wanted to paint it but I thought for a "draw this again" challenge I should probably use media I'm the most familiar with in order to get the best comparison going. So, micron pens, alcohol markers, and a little bit of paint and colored pencils.

Now that that's out of the way, there were a couple other redraw candidates I found along the way so I'm just going to do whatever I want with those When I get around to them
