Way was recently made orphan as his mother succumbed to a terminal disease, from which she’d been suffering since Way was just a child. She was a gentle soul, who’d have to spend days on end in bed. His parents were the owners of an old, massive library, his mother a bookbinder and his father a librarian. His father was killed when Wayward was 13, a drunken gang of stallions had gotten extremely violent when Way’s father had defended a young mare from said stallions. From that moment forward, Wayward took care of his mother and the library on his own, except when his uncle came and helped out, but his job didn’t give him much time to assist his sickly sister and her son.

Since his mother passed, Way has been living on his own in a muggy little apartment in the city. His landlord is and older creepy stallion who ogles any pony younger than 25, but Way’s managing. He is still mourning the loss of his mother deeply. He goes to the local high school and is yet to make any friends, mostly because of his quiet and still nature; he’s simply not one to make conversation. The general mindset of high school students bother him. He enjoys peace and equality - the exact opposite of high school.

While Way is calm and collected, if his late family is mocked, he will lash out with all the fury of a raging storm.
