Description

He would never admit how much it hurt, or that he heard them for that matter. The quiet mutters from his coworkers, questioning their boss's intelligence in hiring a glitched mute, who could only grunt and growl, with questionable processing power.

Grimlock's engine revved as he stared at the energon converter that was connected to him. It wasn't always like this; he was just a construction worker looking to be foreman. Then it all changed. . .

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grimlock was working with one of the new employee's, showing him how to properly weld beams together. There had been a buzzing in his processor since he had gotten out of stasis, but since there were no error warnings, he chose to ignore it.

He barely had time to register the sudden error alerts before he collapsed.

He came out of stasis lock at a nearby hospital, his brothers talking quietly to the on the other side of the room. Grimlock simply assumed that he had overworked himself. He was the oldest of them and was determined to give them the each opportunity for a real career. As a result, he would occasionally work himself to exhaustion.

It was when he tried to call out to them that he knew something was wrong. He intended to ask them if he collapsed again, but his vocolizer only let out a grunt.

It was enough to get the other's attention, but none of his brother's seemed to be able to look at him. . .

----------------------------------

None of the medics who treated him knew how the viral glitch got in his system. But all of them were positive that he would never regain his full strength and mobility.

Grimlock's engines revved once again, this time out of amusement. Proving someone wrong never ceased to give him satisfaction.

As for their prediction about his ability to talk... well, he was never one to quit.

He casually walked to his apartment, silently wondering if Slag and Swoop had taken apart a broken consul like they said they would, when his shoulder collided with that of one of his coworkers.

        "Watch it glitch!"

Grimlock froze, letting his engine rev loudly as it could while he growled for good measure. Turning slowly, he let his optics turn from their usual orange to a flaring red.

His coworker, who was one of the few mechs to match Grimlock in size, scoffed. "What? If I insulted you why don't you say so? Oh right, you can't, can you glitch?"

It was quite convenient that his coworker was between Grimlock the wall; it made Grimlock slamming his head into it easier.

Leaning in close, Grimlock did something that he had only done in front of his brothers and the medics since he first collapsed, he spoke. Not only that, but he spoke in a menacing growl.

"Me no talk because it cheap when only idiots around. They no listen to a word Grimlock say."

With that Grimlock dropped the mech and continued on his way. It wouldn't help much, but the look on the roughly two dozen of his coworker's faces was worth it. But he did lift him off the ground and leave a good sized dent in the wall. . .

Slag, he would have to pay for that!

          "Hey!"

Grimlock turned around to see Kaon's head of security, the Autobots, Kup, grinning at him like an old friend. "That was quite the show of power back there."

          "What point?"

Kup handed him a miniature Autobot symbol, "I can tell when someone's smarter than they let on. Contact that frequency when you get sick of dockwork."

Hello there! So it seems you are still here! I feared you been deactivated.
Would you be interested in becoming Contibutor for Transfiction? A couple peeps left and you have a great grasp of storytelling and grammar to uphold the standards. Think about it and let me know.
Thanks.
BTW the Notes function doesnt work for me which is why I posted here, but at least not on your front page.

I'd love to. But be warned, I can be slow to put out stories because I tend to write five at once.

And yeah, I haven't had time to go onto the forums because of school, but I've been milling around this site to check my watch list.

Are there any specific rules I should know about?

When you can put out more stories that's fine, but we just also need help when you get the chance here and there, to weed out the submissions to the group. Not all submissions will be accepted because of the storytelling and grammar standards we have established. That's all.

I'd be glad to help you guys go through submissions. Be warned though, I'm not the best at nitpicking grammar errors and I'm dyslexic, so spelling can be a minor problem. But I can spot plot holes like nobody's business.
