Description
"What gives you the idea that you'd dominate me?"Soy moved a bit to the left, not easing up his grip around the older man's shoulders.
Roc's odd-colored eyes seemed to sparkle.
"Strength," he said, and the grin on his face made it clear that he meant his own.
Seemingly unfazed by this, Soy gave a light chuckle.
"Sorry, old man," he said. "I don't care if you're stronger, taller and older than me. I don't bow to anyone."
"Really?" Roc said, raising his dark eyebrow. The grin didn't fade as he continued: "Me neither."

... I'm such a bad writer. XD;
Just a sketch I made the other day... or week. I'm not sure when it was.
No, I better start practising more now.

Hahaha~! Aww
I adore the look on Soy's face. It's really, really sweet. Man, i can't wait to see how that turns out, eh.

His face was fun to draw. X3 I had an idea of what really happened, but I don't know if I have the ability to draw it. /=

It's got fun written all over it, all the way down to the twinkle in his eye.
Oh! By all means, do give it a try....? I know you've got lots to do, but it'd be like relaxation, eh...

Yes, I figured that if he had to be put through anything, he'd have it done his way. Then again, a twinkle in his eye usually means that he has already consumed a large amount of alcohol... e_e;;
Yeah, I can do that once I need to breathe while working. ^^ I'm finally going back home to my own room after living in my mother's second living room for a few months, so I don't have to worry about people peeking over my shoulder while I draw XD;

Drugs, Sex and Rock'n'Roll. They've all got the twinkle-effect.
Hahahaha~! I getcha. Privacy is nice once in a while.

Oh yes, very much so. More or less healthy for you, but twinkle-inducing non the less.
It is. Just having a door that I can close if I want to be on my own is simply awesome. I haven't had that privilege in several months.

Hear ya there.
Oh yes. It makes all the difference to me - I turn into an antisocial arsehole if I don't get some time to myself every day.

Yes, same here. Which makes it good that I got to spend all morning up to lunch time on my own. Made living on the couch so much easier. ^^

Sounds sweet. <3 It's only when you're away from yourself for a while that you realise the true value of your own company.

Yes, indeed. I really appreciate my own company most of the time. Sadly, it might have come to the point at which I start to fear other people's company. D=

Well, that definitely isn't good. But on the other hand, it is only a matter of practice. Once you start a new class or are otherwise forced to interact, I'm sure it'll improve quite a bit. *nods*

There you have it. Though I'm by no means belittling the effort of adjusting to a different social pattern.

I like to think so. It makes it a lot easier.
And if things don't work out, it's not like working on my own will kill me. /= Unless, of course, I were to get a teacher who loves group assignments again. e_e;;

Class discussions can be useful, but group assignments are the bane of education. Yech.

I agree to the fullest. e_e; Somehow, I always seem to end up with a bunch of slackers that ditches me as soon as possible. /=
But discussions are great. There's nothing like defending your opinion and learning something in the process.

I hear ya there. Given, there are different levels of discussion partners ... But more often than not it's a great way to learn.

Yeeah, that's true of course. It may still be great for learning purposes, but discussing something with someone who is unwilling to even look at a topic from another angle is like talking to a wall. It doesn't really bring much to the discussion. /=

Indeed. /= I don't like that. I mean, I know that I can be damn adamant in my opinions, but I know to listen to the other side and at least consider their point.

samisi In reply to crunchturtle [2008-04-18 16:09:58 +0000 UTC]
Yes. There's nothing that says you have to be unsure about what you think of a topic to be able to discuss it well: quite the opposite. The most interesting discussions I have ever had was all with people that were of the opposite opinion from me.

crunchturtle In reply to samisi [2008-04-18 18:08:33 +0000 UTC]
Same here. But I must say that one of the most interesting discussions I've been in was in Social studies in 10th grade. We had to take the side that was opposite of our own opinion and still make a convincing argument. It was difficult, but really fun.

I doubt that I would want to go up against you in a discussion. I'd be stomped flat.

I am prone to stomping, yes. But that's only because I grew up practising it by constant bickering with my father.
Did you have an interesting topic to anti-discuss, by the way?

I haven't realised until rather recently, but it has been very useful. Then again, a lot of people find my habit to turn everything into a discussion dreadfully annoying. *giggle*

*snicker* Oh, really? Then your imagination must be very powerful.

Heehee~! That's a by-product of fun, innit.
