*sighs* No, not clones... different versions.... think of it this way. There are three primary colors... red, yellow and blue... each is a different color, but it's a color none the less. now let's say the colors white and black represent a choice in life... like whether or not you decide to have hot coco or hot cider to drink. Depending on which you have, decides which color you add to the original color that is you... because there are TWO choices - always - there are two different color out comes... two different paths...
It's the natural order of the multiverse, if one is around long enough than they are affected - eventually - by this law. Even though Ink and Error essentially were beings outside the multiverse they lived inside it for so long that eventually there were points where beings like me... began meddling.
When Creators meddle... we can create alternates of those who are even normally beyond the touch of the rule of the multiverse... I am one such being. I am not affected by the multiverse's law of choices though I reside in it.

You could say that. Regardless, where you chose one.... which is the reality you know... there is a universe that exists where you chose the other. Normally two universes are completely parallel in every way with no real differences, but there are times when something more ... catastrophic occurs... which divides the universes greatly.
