Description Finally!  I got around to putting together the cover for issue #3.

For this one (although you can't see it here), I'm going to print using all blue - dark blue for the foreground figures/items, and a lighter blue for the background - on light blue stock.

I did this on two pieces of bristol - one for the foreground, one for the background (for easier separation for print).  This version is a composite in grayscale.

Hopefully it will look cool.

I'm angling on a Spring release for this one - only 3 years since issue 2 was printed!

Me too, me too.  Now I'm just waiting on an afterword from the writer, and I can start looking into going to press!

Very nice splatter work.  And is that a 'Vegans Taste Better' mug?  Inspired.

Although who knows, it could also say "Vegans Caste Bitter"  or "Vegans Haste Letter".

Thanks!  It's probably a bit excessive for simply the top of a zombie skull, but heck, why not?

Yep, that mug appears early on in Michael & McKayla's first meeting.

Maybe that's why she attracts all those zombies to her dwelling!

Thanks, Larry!  I had a heck of a time deciding what to do for the cover, and my original thought echoed this in a way, but I think this is much more effective.

I almost love this image for what's NOT on the pages as to what is. I think it's the spacing in this that makes it stand out.

That's a fantastic compliment - I don't often plan spacing so much as put stuff where my instincts say to.

You are really good with contrast, there's a lot of detail but everything can be seen clearly, hard to do!

Thanks!  I'm also intending to 'lighten' the background when I go to print - the line art will be all blues, with the background a lighter shade.
