Sorry for having made you guys wait. Although i'll have you know that i havent done any of my homeworks because of this so if i fail anything...i'm gonna be blaming it on you.
Very simple basic tutorial for those that kinda have a clue as to how Flash works. Newbies who dont know the basics please go read up on tuts such as:
- Flash tut for Newbies
- A Flash tut animation
- Learn flash
- F1 in flash
because you will have no idea what the hell i'm talking about lol.

Sure, if you know how then i don't mind, it's supposed to try and be more or less customisable lol.
Although i should make mention that i had to edit the original .fla in Flash CS3, so it doesn't work with Flash MX anymore (so i hope you have something newer than that!).

TTnTT Sad face, I was looking forward to using it. Is it possible you could make a tutorial about the action script and how a person can set it up in Flash themselves? I'd really love to figure that out. Haha. Either way, I think I'll be getting Flash CS5 soon, I'm not sure.

Haha well there's really not that much to it, you just need to know the actionscript for things like the preloader and buttons and you are pretty much good to go

Well I don't know how to command stuff to go to different pages.

That's where the button actionscript comes in
The pages are usually just separate keyframes navigated through with the buttons - scenes are often hard to work with (imo) and i don't think many people really use them lol.
As for the scroll bar i think there should be a flash component incorporated into flash for one, which means you won't have to worry about any actionscript for it --> [link]
I've never really used it though, so i don't know how well it will work

Ohh it used to work in Flash MX (cos that's what i'd made it in originally), but then when i did a small fix of the file i had Flash CS3 and the lowest save that can go is Flash 8

I click the button to download, but when I try to open it it says "Unexpected file format"

What version of flash are you using?
If you are opening it with anything less than Flash 8 it won't work

Well...you can't make a flash in photoshop.
There's nothing stopping you from making your own static character ref in photoshop though.

Nope, Flash files (.fla) need to be opened with Flash.
Photoshop doesn't support that file format.
