Description This is how this ( [link] ) should have looked six years ago, but I didn't have the processing power, RAM or patience to make it happen. But now I have. So I did.

The trees are public domain, I didn't model those, as are a couple of the cars. I'm lazy, sosumi.

A lot of the textures came from my backyard. A lot of them came from random photos I have lying around. The train is the one from my previous deviation submissions.

I think that's about all I have to say about this.

Thanks.

I should do some more 3d work. Haven't got the time, though.

Was this based on any particular station?

It's a weird blend of features of a few very small stations. The little box/shed/building is very much based on the ticket box at Yennora, as is the pedestrian stairway. The concrete bricks in the bottom right, holding back the side of the embankment (yellowish) are based on one side of (if memory serves) Parramatta. The terraces in the background and overall setting are supposed to look like somewhere in the Inner West.

Truth be told, I downloaded several squillion pictures of Sydney railway stations, and picked features I liked, and then made them fit together.

Fair enough then Parramatta station is so different now I almost expect to see the Jetsons fly their little spaceship in and land!

I haven't been to Parramatta station in some time, I remember when they started upgrading it, though.

There really is a fine line separating this from a photograph. The detail is amazing, it feels as though you could jump in and look inside the windows of the houses, or find a dime on the ground near the benches.

Exceptional work!

I took the time to go and look at the 'original concept' - this really shows how much more computer you have now as compared to then...

Really nice job on the textures, especially in the track area and just beside it...
