Description
The other day I heard one of my friends call one of my other friends a "webu", not knowing what that meant I decided to look it up... Let's just say I was not impressed. Ironically, there are a lot of those around DA, go figure.
In my mind, the term sounded better suited for an ancient Japanese demon, so I made one. This is the "Naywebu", my own spin on it. Hope you like it.

That's purty kewl. I hope to never meet either version of webu, though I think this one would be more tolerable.

Would those actually live in Japan, no one would dare to invade. It's creepier than the Xenomorph! I think that means you did a great job.

It's really awesome! I actually feel rather intimidated merely looking at this, thinking it could possibly come to life o.oΒ
Is this a traditional or digital painting? Either way it's seriously awesome!

Thanks Kylami! It would appear that my work is done here. It's digital, and I'm honored that you would ask, as I try to go for a more traditional feel. Β I really appreciate the compliment!

Your friend is a complete pussy, blocking me, shame. This is what this place is, so many cowards and nitpicking assholes who can't handle criticism.
Fuck you, fuck your friend hope you suffer. DA can kiss my ass.

Dude, it seems like you're here for the wrong reasons. While I commend your looking out for your friend, believe it or not it's never a good idea to promote someone else's art on another artist's page. A note would have been just as sufficient if you wanted me to check something out.
Anyway, if you're so goddamn miserable here, then why bother sticking around? Sounds like you've got some issues to work out personally and this is not the place. Get the fuck over it.Β

Mighty: Right. I'm a total pushover for calling someone out for completely unfounded namecalling and blocking someone that clearly wants to harass others (as demonstrated by referring to Dave as an asshole, me as a pussy, and the general population of dA as "cowards and nitpicking assholes who can't handle criticism")Β
If you've got criticism, then present it and be objective. Critique the color choice, the composition, the idea, whatever you want to critique, and do it in a way that amounts to more than "whatever, asshole" and then go have a pity party when someone calls you out on it.Β
Don't get mad when someone asks you to post your irrelevant "go check out this other artist" stuff elsewhere. This isn't an appropriate place (there are forums for that). Dave wasn't being rude when he asked you to spread your links somewhere else. And nobody is obligated to entertain your apparent tantrum by responding (This is the only one you'll get from me, by the way)
You ask (on your journal) why we can't all just get along and be respectful, while simultaneously calling people names and saying they deserve to suffer. You even go so far as to literally say both of those things in the same sentence. So I would suggest you take a step back and try to get some fresh air. If you're able-bodied, go take a walk or go get some sleep. Because if this is enough to get you riled up so much that you're trying to get yourself banned then you need to walk away and take a break.Β
Nobody's going to make you stick around on dA. But if you're going to leave, at least do it with some dignity. You can close your own account if that's really what you want to do. But if you want to do art, and you want to create art, then you've got to learn to not let stuff get under your skin so easily. And stay focused on the art. If people are going to troll on your artwork comments, block them! You're not obligated to interact with them (just like how, after this, I'm refusing to interact with you!). There's nothing morally or ethically wrong with blocking people that are being asses. Frankly you probably have better things to do than feed the trolls, do you not? The best revenge against people like that is to work hard and become more successful.Β
We all suck when we start out. It takes practice. All you need is practice. Take some classes if you're able to and get some feedback. Join art groups on Facebook if you've got one. Look up videos about composition and color theory on YouTube. Be aware that it's going to be tough and that, honestly, you'll very rarely ever be completely satisfied with your work. There's always going to be someone that doesn't like your work and harasses you. Just don't become one of those people. You'll just get yourself blocked by people that have better things to do than interact with angry boys on the internet.Β

I'm not sticking around, i'm gonna go out by being banned. Trying to get myself banned so yeah report me.
Umm....i just got problems on here, lot of haters on me for making art, and i'll admit i shoulda not have done this shit but still this place needs a wake up call

Nah, I got better things to do than report people, unless they're stealing my shit. I agree, there's always been a bit of shadiness and backward-ass shit going on around here, and what's popular has never made any sense to me. But, the point here is, if you're not happy, don't go out of your way to drag others down with you. Not cool. Your art's not as bad as you may think, and we all have to start somewhere. Β Might I suggest focusing on that instead of whatever pisses you off about some website?Β
