selfless i weep,painless i strain,
i remember the days in the shadows, so dim,
i recall walking through a field of moss,
breathing in a whisper of death,
reminded me of my decapitated dreams,
a box of thoughts continues to clutter my dark room,
a shrill cry seems to mock my every fluttering motion,
longing for knowledge to feed my starving static mind, i resign,
waiting in a pool of severed wishes,
the elegies of blody heartbreak seep,
swim from my frozen lips,
resting forever unknown,
waiting, longing to be imbrewed,
i remember the days in the shadows, they reminded me of my decapitated dreams, bloody elegies of heartache they still sing.

very AFI-inspired, i recognized a few frequent phrases or words often in davey's lyrics, but you're developing a very firm writer's voice or tone, and it's always nice to read your stuff just to see how you've become better as a writer. this is a really good work, and i enjoyed reading it, but i know you have more untapped talent in you. keep going, you're going to be a great writer.
