behind these blue waves of life,
there is a story,
a truth i cannot escape,
a child made of glass,
feet dripping with blood,
walking on eggshells,
tears stain her cheeks,
and she screams,
she screams at the top of her lungs,
behind her pretty smile,
she's crawling in the mud,
the waste of this horrid world,
the way she always does,
she closes her watery eyes,
just to run away from her pain,

behind these blue waves of life,
i have a story,
a truth i cannot escape,
a teenage soul,
wandering through empty time,
without wiping those tears from her face,
she stares at her scars,
wishing someone would open their eyes,
losing all contact with human life,
the love she once felt,
is ice,
sitting in the shadows,
taking this knife to her skin,
she prays to herself,
prays that she won't feel so lost,
so angry,
so sad,
so out of place,

this is a story,
a truth i cannot escape,
how i used to feel like dying,
wanting so bad to runaway from these fears,
fears of an empty life on the ground,
gritty and stained with the worst of memories,
scars are forever,
but feelings change,

and behind these blue waves of life,
the hate has flown away,
to another place,
the sorrow still remains,
but will heal with time,
the tears are still there,
but this little girl won't let them stay,

running through a life full of bitter memories,
the thorns of yesterday still make this teenager bleed,
but she still moves on,
reconizing her faults,
and leaving space for her happy thoughts,

i am getting past this fear,
walking through a healthy,
true,
fun life,
and it can only get better now.
