as the stars crumbled to ash and the trees to dust, our sanity soaks into the state of lost memories like the water to the earth, like the moth to the flame, i'm drawn to sorrow, the darkness within me fills my broken heart, as the cinders fall, my soul crawls to the end and back, searching for a reason, within calamity i find my sanctuary for reasons unknown, my heart cries and my soul sighs, while humanity crumbles and the loss of the great ones kills me, like the insects feed on flesh, so quickly i am lost, like blood draining from dead veins, like bloodshot eyes lie awake until they sting, my soul can't find the light, my heart can't rid the pain, until my blood drains from my deadened veins, until my bloodshot eyes lie awake until they sting, my soul will cry and the pieces of my broken heart wilt and die, calamity has become my sanctuary, now hold me.
