the rain beats against my window,
on this cold and gloomy night,
the sky is full of stars and shapes,
that help me drift away from this "cookie cutter" world,
the one i long to escape,
filled with drug dealers and toxic waste,
nuclear bombs and the occasional fake smiling face,
in the stars is a world of my own,
without hatred or judgement,
where children aren't influenced by society or their peers,
a world without rapists or serial killers,
where no one you love dies,
this is the world i escape to when the chaos kicks into overdrive.
