slow your pace,look to this moonlit night,
with eyes of wonder,
i'll show you things you've never seen,
walk along this path with me,
through my hopes and dreams,
wander past the tall oaks and this sea of green,
stumble through the rosebushes of my past,
smell their putrid scent,
the roses are beautiful, yes,
but their thorns still sting,
i'll show you all the damage to my bark,
as long as you'll just walk with me,
follow me into the dark,
the crevices that seemed so sunny,
were only covered in mirrors to hide the shadows,
take a walk with me,
