I want to say, I think you're doing some amazing work on Sylvanna. I started reading it and I think it has a great plot!
Funny coincidence though, one of my original story ideas also has a bird race as the main antagonists. 
I kind of feel like doing some Sonic fan art again too especially after taking your class. Lately I've been more on a Lion King kick for the past few years. XD

Hehee, well I'll tell you that I've been putting Sylvanna out there for a couple years now. Only finally got to this incarnation and WELL before me and after too, there have been plenty of "birds as badguys" comics so you shouldn't feel discouraged from that one similarity! Would love to see what you do with your book!

Amazing page! I like the stained glass look and the coloring.
I can see there's a biblical allusion sort of thing going on here. (Or it could be just me reading into things like I usually do. Lol. 
I'll definitely be reading the comic from here on.

Love the stained-glass-window look for the background story.Β It really gives it an elegant "ancient tale" vibe and the contrast between that and the "regular" art style in the final panel is a nice wake up call to bring the readers into the present day.Β Interesting history, too.Β Great to see this comic starting!

Ooo! Clever. You applied that golden age European styled stained glass to your narrative! That technique definitely gives it a old wises man's tale vibe when reading it through - I like it! This is something that isn't easy to illustrate and color either - you gotta know where to establish those lines - lots of detail required to pull it off.
The script so far flows beautifully. So to clarify you pass on the story points and ideas to Ian, then the two of you bounce back and forth those ideas and Ian writes the points into comic format?
Anyways keep up the awesome stuff! Looking forward to more pages - and wee! I see Bashu just about wake up from... Another lazy day... Ha ha ha...Β
