It's always important to get things out of your head, because they likely wouldn't stay the way you think. In about 2 years, i've been through quite a few different versions of umbra as I designed her and thought her out. The second to last incarnation almost lasted an entire year by itself...but then i changed it and learned what was missing. It's been fun, and a worry of mine was not being able to settle, that i would just annoy people with the constant changes. But looking at what i've ended with, i'm happy I went all this way.Related content

I really love the May version the best and August is very cute too. November has a nice polished look to her.

Umbra is such a great design, and this timeline shows all the minute developments you've made to your art style. Overall I'm glad you've made this
Also, is it me or does umbra's skin get slightly darker which each rendition?

oh yes, they're clear mirrors in appearance and abilities, but I feel that because of the "unoriginal canvas" there's a lot more time to experiment with Umbra's appearance and Chomp's own art style, which is what I was mainly discussing in my previous comment.

This is amazing! I love umbra's character as whole. I'm glad I got to see this compilation art piece of her.

Her various designs sort of feel like the changing culture and fashion time period pieces. The May 2017 version reminds me of an all black wearing 1950/60 beatnik while the August 2017 has her feeling groovy and a 1970 disco clublife.

Look at it this way though. Some of these you can keep in your head as Umbra's wardrobe, if she has a wardrobe somewhere in the dark. Anyway, an amazing view of the evolution of Umbra's fashion.

yeah i do plan to re-use some of these outfits. She did change physically too though.
