Delta-Hexagon — Okay (but not really)

Description For all his bluff and bravado, Arri Armistead is in reality a very, very scared man only a few steps away from being completely overwhelmed with guilt. And in a world where emotions often can and do manifest as ailments (amongst other things), losing yourself to guilt can be one way a ticket to the afterlife.

What is he guilty about?

If it weren't for him, his brother would still be around.

Thanks! It's fun to experiment with for sure. No stress, just mess.

Aaah, self-important yet riddled with guilt-- a deadly combination.

This is such an awesome painting, despite its sketchiness you captured Arri's form very well. The suit is especially beautiful, and I love how it's got the firm look any good coat should have. As ever, the textures are excellent and so are the colors of the head. Super work!

(By the way, I love how Ari's got the cracks under his eyes. Very, very interesting... suddenly very curious about this character, and if/how he related to Hex)

Arri is such a blowhard. He could even be called pompous. He sees himself as better than others when he's just as sad, broken, and corrupt as the rest of the world, but perhaps rising himself up like that is some misguided attempt to hold onto his sense of worth. And he's full of so much guilt that stems from a tragic accident that was entirely his fault. It's eating him alive but he's too deep in denial to realize it. He's the kind of person who would either smile and tell you he's fantastic or yell at you to go away and cry for an hour in the bathroom by himself.

Thank you for the kind words aaah! He has zero relation to Deltagon, hah. She exists in a vacuum she's just a personification. Arri is from my story "Deep Lies Your Blame" which is a sort of. Urban fantasy that's based on the motto that "good people can do terrible things".

"Good people can do terrible things"? I like it! I love it! Terrible people can do good things, too. Gray morality is the best.

Arri certainly does sound like a douche, though, however people with such self-love usually are the most broken or weak kind. It's funny how minds work like that. I'm not sure what this accident was or if you're willing to dispel it, but I bet he handwaves it as "not his fault"-- or tries to rationalize or outright deny it. That is not a good mindset to have. He sounds like a very well-written character! I'm definitely excited to see more of him.
