Description
The front of my paper bag packaging design for seeds, and we're supposed to work with only 2 colours (white isn't a colour, it's just the paper). There's a range of these for different types of seeds.. I'll most probably post up final photos of my assignment after the studio photography's done.Hrm.. the colours are seriously weird when I did this on my Mac. It's supposed to be greenish, but on a PC's monitor it's.... blue. o___o;;;;
EDIT : Problem solved! It printed out fine and I've already learnt about colour settings and pre-press! w00t

Looks blue on my iMac O____o;;; Otherwise, great choice of the two colors! The cool background helps your design for the foreground pop out!

I have a Mac and it's blue here, too. But I saw your other deviation so I know it's supposed to be green.
Keep sharing the graphic design love!

It's just you I didn't use any gradients. Might be the photo..

It was blue on a PC because the color profile for a Mac is different from a PC. Photoshop has an option on the Image menu to convert it to the working RGB.

Really? I've been fiddling around with those RGB settings but I can't find the right one. Which is the correct one I should use?

sammigurl61190 In reply to designslave [2006-11-14 06:55:20 +0000 UTC]
Well, do you mean how to convert it, or what to set it on on a Mac? It depends on what your working RGB space is on your PC. I've only worked a limited amount with Macs, but check on your PC what the working RGB space is (it should say in your prefrences) and then see if it's on the list on your Mac.

I'm working on a Mac.. I just wanted to know which proper RGB working space to use on a Mac so that it'll look alright on all PCs as well Maybe I'll keep poking around. Thanks!

Not all PCs use the same color profile, but let's see what I use on my PC...
"sRGB IEC61966-2.1". It reflects the characteristics of the average PC monitor. It's a standard space endorsed by many hardware and software manufacturers, and is becoming the default color space for many scanners, low-end printers, and software applications. It's ideal for Web work, but not reccomended for prepress work, because of its limited color gamut.

It's supposed to be blue lol. That's how it turned out on the PC, so it was uploaded that way.

Ohhh okay I thought you meant that you saved it as greenish, and then it appeared in the browser as blue
but then, that wouldn't be the monitor's fault, so much as the browser, so I should've realized this in the first place!. Don't mind me, I'm slow.

designslave In reply to ilovegravy [2006-08-29 16:46:17 +0000 UTC]
I started as greenish, but appeared on the PC as blue so I saved it that way. Why can't Mac and PCs have their screens properly synced?!
