Hi there, this time a Win 7 VS. Tested on RTM Build 7600.
(should work in final release).

never mind, i was able to install it. it looks very cool, but my explorer start button hasn't changed. any ideas on how to fix this?

Maybe you're not getting full control upon the process, I mean the usuals to know: turn off UAC, giving proper rights, take control and so on...

It should do the trick for sure, just remember to use the .bmp file provided by me which is located at Standalone Resources folder.

Seems you aren't an often visitor to the Customization > Skins & Themes category here in dA.
I will explain to you why this VS was futured here and not in Windows7 category, the answer is at the time it was released theres no Windows 7 category (same has happened with Vista Category, btw), so the first Win7 skinners resolve that this would be the best place to share our works.
Thats the long story, the short one says that I though the guys from the staff will move all the Win7 deviations gradually to the new category but looks like...they dont, plus my "lazybutness"... Tada! the deviation remains here.

To be honest I really doubt this VS would looks great on XP, you know, I made it with the aero thing in mind and concerning to Vista, well I try to stay away from Betas...

Taskbar buttons and Buttons highlighted are way too solid . Tweak them please . Do you have a conflict with transparency ? Why is the theme so solid ? soften details pane image plz

man/max/close buttons are of Vista, not 7.

Well, glad you partially likes it, but this VS was made to satisfy my own needs and then uploaded & shared to whoever it likes it, so I feel sorry about that but thats the way the buttons was intended to be.
FYI that buttons are Longhorn-ish, not Vista, which looks like the same as 7 defaults.
