Description
Here's a huge, elaborate spread from MARVEL ADVENTURES: HULK #8. This one features the full Defenders team (Hulk, Silver Surfer, Namor, and Doctor Strange) in battle with an extra-dimensional monstrosity (whose name I've forgotten!).Issue 8 is a stand-alone issue uniting the team for the first time in Marvel Adventures continuity, and we wanted to do it in style. Hope this jumbo-sized scene fits the bill.

I remember being blown away by George Perez's work in the 80's when he would draw a sweeping battle scene in Teen Titans, and this has the same effect on me. WoW!

You've obviously been blessed with talent and a great work ethic- you deserve the praise for your work! Just keep enjoying it- there are many like me- folks who can draw fairly well, but were never quite there to get into comics, and we think you guys are living the dream (I'm sure that will get some laughs from you!).

No laughs from me! Although the hours can suck sometimes, I'm really grateful to draw comics, and I certainly don't take the opportunity for granted.

I've drawn about 30 comics in my career, and only once has the script actually called for a double-page spread. Writers are usually concerned about cramming as much story as possible in the 22-page format, and they rarely want to use up two pages on a single picture.
I agree with you--I'd rather have a true double-pager with just one picture, but those are super, super rare.
