Certainly, what kind of tool you use to paint? Is it a special marker o permanent?

I use a water-based acrylic paint. I tend to layer most color in a series of washes (meaning I mix water and paint to thin it) until I get the perfect shade, and am able to add shadows.
Leather can be colored with paint, sharpies, or if it is un-sealed, antiques/dyes/stains.
