Well, since I didn't take pictures before I sent this off to the Spring Leather Show, I'm posting pictures now.
The interior of the Chichiri checkbook cover I carved for my friend back in.. oh, I don't know..January or earlier?
For the edge, we used a Mexican Basket Weave. Was a tough choice between this and a double loop. Gotta say, this is one time-consuming lace! Takes like 90 minutes to go six inches. *dies*
However, it looks AMAZING, I think!!!
Heck, it won THIRD.

Depends, to be honest. This one was completely from scratch, which means a new pattern, more materials, more work. The lacing alone was 6 hours lol. We're talking over $100 USD.
Tandy Leather Factory sells kits, which I prefer to use (cheaper), and handsew. I find handsewing is more durable, holds in place better, and, let's face it, put stuff in purses or pockets, it's going to pick up lint, and lacing will grab onto it lol.
Anyways... kits are less expensive.
A wallet - 6 card slots and a currency pocket would be $60 USD.
A wallet with a removable I.D. case, six credit card slots and currency pocket $60 USD as well.
More standard wallets are available, if you're interested.
Lacing, if preferred, will cost more. It's time-consuming. I also do luggage tags ($20 USD), key chains ($10 USD), etc.

I like pretty much everyone but Tamahome and Miboshi.... Taka I like. Evil Tamahome I like... Tamahome is so annoying I'm GLAD when Hotohori stabs him lol.
Nuriko and Hotohori and Nakago are my favorites of favorites tho...

Oh man, I loved Nuriko soooo much, one of my favorite characters of all time. I tried to hate Nakago because he was evil... but there was something strangely appealing about him.

I LOVE Nuriko.. probably because he and I are alot alike lol. Yeah,... supposed to hate the villains but.. oh man.. Nakago's a FANTASTIC villain, from head to toe... He's wicked, charming, funny, manipulative..how can you NOT adore him?
But oh yes.. Nuriko.... he's one of my all-time faves too ^_^. Why I went to all the trouble of carving him on my own checkbook cover lol... Everyone loves Nuriko!
