Description I’m not fully sure what kind of domestic cow he/she was. The cow in life belonged to my aunt who owned a few horsed and a cow or two. It died of natural causes and after many months another aunt-of-mine’s sons came along and took the skull of the remains. After a while my other aunt grew sick of the skull and so she gave it to me knowing about my work with them.

I was rather surprised at its size when she handed it to me. When she was telling me about it, I thought of a stereotypical dairy cow like skull with rather small horns - nope. The horns are only four inches shy of being three feet wide. The tip of the nose is broken off and gone (my aunt’s son had dropped it sometime before she gave it to me) and the lower jaw is missing. Her son’s had painted the skull white.

… And the book is “Skin Spirits” by Lupa for size reference over just the mass of this skull. XD
